What is EFT ?

Does the EFT tapping technique really work? Yes—and the scientific evidence is clear.

The technique acts like a switch for your physical state: it turns off the "fight" response and turns on relaxation within the nervous system—all within just a few minutes of use.

Hundreds of scientific studies conducted around the world demonstrate its effectiveness and speed. EFT generates transformative energy, allowing our reactions to shift from the "reptilian" (primitive) brain to the frontal brain. This shift restores our capacity for reasoning and problem-solving, while granting access to the intuitive guidance and answers held within the heart.

Why does this matter? Because the mind—driven by a desire to protect us—often offers solutions based on our past wounds, our need for self-defense, our habitual reactions, and our existing perceptions. Such solutions are inherently biased, leading us to repeat life-draining patterns.

The heart, with its own unique intelligence, simply knows what is true for us. It is intuitive and holds the answers that form our core strength—guiding our choices, our growth, our transformations, and our energetic vibrations. Notably, the heart is 5,000 times more powerful than the brain in your head.

What makes this a gentle technique is that we focus on your reaction following a trauma, rather than the story of the event itself. We aren't concerned with the challenge itself, but rather with how you navigate it—ensuring that the experience strengthens you, rather than the other way around.

Where do these challenges—which may strike suddenly, repeatedly, or insidiously—come from? They stem from fragments of our personal history, perceptions, frequencies, vibrations, and information—all of which are capable of being transformed.

Trauma is an adverse experience that triggers a more or less intense reaction within our nervous systems—for instance, a specific tone of voice, a conflict, a failure, an accident, physical violence, an image seen on television, the loss of a loved one or a pet, a breakup, and so on.

The technique involves activating a specific sequence of acupressure points (located at the beginning or end of a meridian), starting from the point where an emotional or physical contraction is felt in the body. This sends vibrations—along with signals of safety and calm—throughout our entire nervous and cellular systems.

It functions like a recipe: it allows a disturbance to surface while simultaneously dissolving it through the stimulation of these points, which helps energy to flow again in all ok directions for us.

I love that quote :

"We are like an orchestra; all our bodily and energetic systems are musicians, with the Heart acting as the conductor, working together to create a symphony. This symphony is who we are, and it evolves based on our life experiences. The imprint we leave on this earth consists of the symphonies we play—it represents who I am." — Lenny Jarret; John Kirkwood

EFT and its history

EFT has its roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In the 1960s, Dr. George Goodheart established a connection between the energy meridians of Chinese medicine, our muscles, and our organs. EFT was developed in the 1990s by Gary Craig, an engineer who built upon the work of Dr. Roger Callahan—a clinical psychologist and the founder of TFT (Thought Field Therapy). TFT is the precursor to EFT and various other methods based on the premise that we are quantum beings. Welcome to the world of "energy medicine."

As for Wallace D. Wattles—born in 1860, a farmer who later became an educator—he is the founder of the teachings on the "Science of Getting Rich" (often associated with EFT); this approach requires a complete transformation of how we think, act, and exist in life, calling upon us to cast aside much of what we have been taught since early childhood.

How does EFT work? Through a transformation that rapidly soothes the body when all challenges can be transformed.
